"Garbage Truck Sighting & Oogling" is a regular, um, weekly pastime here at our home. I like to think that these two Monkeys contribute in a small way to making our hard-working sanitation crew feel appreciated (there's often an exchange of waves, smiles). For two little boys I know, these guys are practically Superheroes. A close second to Firefighters, of course!

Hamelin Bay Stingrays: video
During our trip to the Margaret River area (South of Perth), the boys get up close and (almost) personal with some very curious stingrays. December 2009
Jakie & Spotty
While we were in Petth I took up horseback riding again after a very long hiatus. I got to bring Jake one day for some time in the saddle on the very creatively named "Spotty". Jake was very sweet with Spotty and they became fast friends. They were such a cute pair and Jake had such a blast, as you can tell by the expression on his face. I was so proud. (May 2010)
Oso Flaco Lake & Pismo Dunes
While down in San Luis Obispo for a long weekend, we spent one morning walking out to the Pismo Dunes, along a boardwalk over Oso Flaco Lake. The boys were fantastic walkers, and had a blast climbing and sliding on the dunes.
Little Funny Train
The Boys making good use of a continuous loop of cardboard. A find of Jake's while we were shopping at Target. He totally lost the plot as we checked out, when the cashier mistook this "treasure" Jake had placed on the conveyer for rubbish, and put it in her bin. Oh, the angst of the misunderstood preschooler. I give him points for creativity, and for providing an element of drama to our lives at the most unexpected times.
3...2...1...
BLAST OFF! Apparently this is some sort of a spaceship and the Fabulous Baker Boys are off on another adventure...
Cars, cars and more cars
Lots to explore at the Green Drive Expo. Early October 2010.
How Big is Your Pumpkin?
We took a mini-break down to San Luis Obispo and had to check out the (apparently) legendary Pumpkin Patch at Avila Valley Farm. Huge pumpkins to climb on (and lots to take home) were only the beginning of the thrills and attractions...Simple pleasures for our "country" boys.
